August 2010[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, Siedc, may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to represent Staten Island Economic Development Corporation (SIEDC) rather than an individual. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. (talk) 08:17, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed my signature, which I believe is an alternative to changing the username. Thank you. Lauren R. (talk) 08:45, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Changing your signature does not resolve the issue, the above policy relates to usernames and signatures. (talk) 09:06, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am new to this, but am willing to learn. I will submit a username change request. Although, I am having trouble navigating the instructions page. Thanks! Lauren R. (talk) 09:25, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WP:CHUS is probably the best shortcut and Special:ListUsers will help to check that the name you want is unused. (talk) 09:47, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just submitted request to change username. Hope that helps! Lauren R. (talk) 09:32, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I do not have a vested interest in the page that I have edited, and am simply adding as a community member to its content so that it is current and accurate. Thank you. Lauren R. (talk) 08:45, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
