Thank you for your message. I have no conflict of interest and my addition to this page is a statement of fact. I am the person who created the first automated life underwrtiting system in 1972. Because I was the underwriitng manager at Colonial Mutual of Australasia in Cape Town, South Africa. It was recognised by our general manager that I had the knowledge and expertise in my field. I was sent off to IBM to learn all about IT and especially Cobol programming. I completed all the systems analysis, wrote the program, tested it and then referred it to the IT department to go life. It crashed four times due to my programming errors but on the fifth attempt it worked. It was very basic and very simply the system accepted any case that was 100% no or binary 0. Any answer that produced a yes or in binary language a 1 as opposed to a 0 was rejected and had to be underwritten manually. Manniecolonial (talk) 18:25, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I quote Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline: "Conflict of interest (COI) editing involves contributing to Wikipedia about yourself, family, friends, clients, employers, or your financial and other relationships" (my bolding). (Please read the whole guideline, it has useful information for you.) Thank you for being open about it. As it says in my notice above, we recommend you to avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors. Instead, you are asked to propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template to do that, if you find it helpful). This is something you can still do now. Your edit to Life insurance was promptly reverted by the editor who has written to you above, User:Bruce1ee, for being unsourced.
