Hello, MarissaPAlit, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Feedback

[edit]

Hi. I'm sorry you ran into problems with your edits. A few things:

  • You changed Carriers is a 2009 American post-apocalyptic film to Carriers (2009) is an American post-apocalyptic film - this goes against the standard way of writing the opening sentence of Wikipedia articles, so the revert was appropriate. You also changed the lead to include a summary of the film. The lead should summarize the main points of the article broadly and avoid details like plot points.
  • I'm not sure why you added all these references at the end of the article like that, and created a set of numbered references. Just use inline references and let the software number them automatically.
  • If you run into problems with an editor, or if someone reverts your work, you should always try talking to them first. If someone has a problem with edits, it's normal to revert - it's the counterpart of "be bold". The idea is that you aren't required to ask for permission before you edit, but once you do, if someone has a problem with your edits it's fine to revert them. If you don't agree with their reason for reverting, start a discussion with the other Wikipedian, either on their talk page or on the articles' talk page.

If you have additional questions, please leave me a note. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:04, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Carriers article improvements

[edit]

The Carriers (film) article is a good subject to improve because it's rather bare-bones. Outside of the plot section, there isn't much detail about the film, such as the production, the actors, and the characters they play.

As you're currently working on improving the article, a major benefit would be expanding these other sections. For example, see if you can find interviews with the cast and crew and use their quotes/information where appropriate. Bluerules (talk) 07:44, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
