Dear Matthew,

Last weekend, you sent me a set of answers to questions that I asked you about your Wikipedia user page.

I have looked, and looked again for these answers, but they did not arrive in my inbox. Could you please resend them to the address jmcvea@ualberta.ca ? Somewhere along the line I must have given you an email address with a typo in it.

I would still like to include your page, and answers in my study.

Thank-you again and sorry for the inconvenience of this. Again, the email address is: jmcvea@ualberta.ca

John-Paul,
I'm sorry that you didn't get my responses. I've resent them, to both your university email address and your gmail address. I hope you get them. ~ Matthewrbowker Say hi! 00:27, 6 October 2011 (UTC)

Tony Harrington, aka Doctah X

Hi Matthew, thank you for reviewing my article this evening, Tony Harrington, aka Doctah X. You have asked me to add more newspaper articles. I'm confused since I have added five of them. I'm assuming that's not enough correct? Because I don't know how Wiki works, I want to make sure that you did see the ones that I had included from the Columbus Dispatch, the Other Paper, Columbus Alive and one from New York City? Please advise. You can also email me at <EMAIL REMOVED>. I would appreciate any help or tips or advice that you can give to me. Thank you. I'm so confused. :) Karen Bell (Karenbellxx (talk) 02:06, 11 October 2011 (UTC)).

Yes, I probably should have been more clear about that. Most of the references you use Tony's name only in passing, which isn't sufficient to prove notability. I encourage you to find more newspaper articles that directly reference Tony's work as a music producer.
Also, FYI, I strongly discourage you from posting your personal email on the internet. If you want to respond to me, just hit the "Edit" link at the top of the page and put your response right below the previous post.
Feel free to reply with any further questions. ~ Matthewrbowker Say hi!

Helping

Umm, I'm on a reliable source called: Wizards of Waverly Place Wiki.

http://wizardsofwaverlyplace.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

So everything i'm editing is real. Trust me. I don't vandilze. I help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chansep2009 (talkcontribs) 03:13, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Actually, I'm sorry to say that wikia is not a reliable source. Please see this page for more information about why we can't use Wikia.
If you would like to re-add the information, I would recommend that you add a third party source. Newspapers are a good option.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reply below, and I will get back to you. ~ Matthewrbowker Say hi! 03:19, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Sorry

Hey, i'm sorry. I promise, I do not vandalize. I created "The Pefect Roommate" page. And I need it locked. And I created that image myself.

--Chansep2009 (talk) 03:31, 11 October 2011 (UTC)Chansep2009

Please

Wikia is reliable. I know it is. And not everyone can edit on it. You have to be an admin. So yes. Those episodes are real. Not sure about the plots. But the episodes are real. Please don't block me from editing. I don't vandalize pages or wreck anything. I try to help them. And "The Perfect Roommate", I created. But will you please lock the page, so only autoconfirmed users can edit it. Like me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chansep2009 (talkcontribs) 03:29, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately, Wikipedia's policies disallow use of Wikia as a reliable source. I'm sorry, but that's policy. However, if the information is notable, it should be available in other sources. I encourage you to read this page for more information about what is reliable and what isn't.
If you have any questions, feel free to post here and I will do my best to answer them.~ Matthewrbowker Say hi! 05:13, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

Tony Harrington, aka Doctah X

Matthew, thanks so much for the tip. I did find another source that discussed Tony's producing a bit and also referred to his programs sponsored by the Greater Columbus Arts Council. I'm hoping that helps, but if not, at least now I know what direction to go in, and that is thanks to you. Karenbellxx (Karenbellxx (talk) 18:13, 11 October 2011 (UTC)).

Excellent! I'm glad I was able to be of some help.
I wish you luck on the creation of the article, and feel free to come back and ask any questions you might have.~ Matthewrbowker Say hi! 05:18, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

Photo of Tony Harrington, Doctah

Hi Matthew, I uploaded a photograph of Tony Harrington, aka Doctah X and I don't know how to correct the licensing and copyright issues since it is MY photo, taken by me and owned by me. I tried to submit that correction online, but it seems I have screwed it up somehow. Could you please advise on how to correct this and/or the correct wording to use to express that I own the picture, taken by own inept self on my digital camera although I think it's a great picture! Thanks again for your help with this project! I am very confused by Wiki although I thing it's the greatest thing on the Internet. Karenbellxx,
Hmm... Unfortunately, the world of file licensing on Wikipedia is a very complex place. I probably won't be able to help you on my talk page. Would you be interested in coming to our live chat room? You can find it here. Most of the users in the live chat would be able to help.
Thank you very much. ~ Matthewrbowker Say hi! 04:47, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Help with submitting new article (The LAMP)

Hi Mathew,

You've recently reviewed and rejected my submission for a new article for The LAMP. This is my first attempt at creating an article and would love some more feedback that would help me get this article approved.

Thanks.

Hugesmalls (talk) 20:55, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi, Hugesmalls! Welcome to Wikipedia.
Yes, I was the person who reviewed The LAMP. I quite liked the submission.
However, the problem with the submission was the lack of reliable sources to back up your claims about the organization. But, this problem is easy to fix. If you find some newspapers or books about the orginization, use them to verify every claim you made in the article, using the <ref> and </ref> tags like you have been.
If you have any other questions, go ahead and click edit at the top of this section and leave them below. Again, welcome to Wikipedia! ~ Matthewrbowker Say hi! 22:01, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
