Nomination of Kubikmaggi for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Kubikmaggi is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as on Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Kubikmaggi, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button 
or 
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. You asked at the deletion discussion for the above article what the problem was. Well, in a nutshell here it is: A musical act must have a certain level of notability to have an article on Wikipedia. You will find that standard here:(WP:NMUSIC). In short, that standard required that a group have some combination of the following coverage in reliable sources (reliable sources defined here: WP:RS):
- regular airplay on radio, shown by being on any recognized chart (Example: Billboard)
- nomination for a nationally or world recognized award (example:Grammy)
- significant coverage in the press. That means more than one article in which the group is the primary subject
- has been involved in a change in music that has stood the test of time (since this group is new, this doesn't apply)
- has a gold record
- has won a major music competition
- has had a national or international tour that has received extensive media coverage
In short, whether you are writing about a band or a bagel, Wikipedia only reports on what others have written. I hope this helps you understand. Gtwfan52 (talk) 02:01, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
