Rough Fire
[edit]Ok so sending me an email in broken English does not qualify as "discussion". The fire you are saying is larger than the Rough Fire is the Happy Camp Complex Fire which burned LAST YEAR. Not in 2014. InciWeb does not close out an incident until every single resource has cleared. The fire was deemed controlled October 31st, 2014. It is not and never has been an active incident in 2015. If you wish to discuss this, you can comment here, on my talk page or on the talk page for the Rough Fire. --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 06:04, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
Rough fire (continued)
[edit]Hello Zachmann08,
You are right, I did not notice the start date in 2014. About the broken English, sorry, this is not my first language by far. Please note that I asked you to correct my English if there is any problem, I accept all the critics about that. Note also that I talked to you twice on the Rough Fire wiki talk page without answer from you, and you did not give any explanation in comment section of the modification. If I already did some modifications in other wikipedia pages, I never discuss to somebody before through that channel, so I am also new at this, sorry if I do it wrong, but I am open to improvement.
Marc Bajet.
Citations
[edit]Heyo. Thank you for your continued efforts on the Rough Fire page. Can you please try to avoid using Bare URLs for your citations? Compare what you are adding:
<ref>http://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/article/4456/29843/</ref>
with the prefered method.
<ref name=inci>{{cite web|title= Rough Fire|url=http://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/4456/|website=[[InciWeb]]|accessdate=September 15, 2015}}</ref>
This template better formats the citation. the name=inci
allows that exact citation to be used again elsewhere. I recommend using the Cite function on the toolbar (see some documentation HERE. That should help. If you have any questions, please let me know. Keep up the good work. --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 21:06, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

@zackmann08: Well, well, well... Thank you Zack, for your help, advice and patience... I contribute to wikipedia now from a "long" time, but on the french version, and always to modify existing text, adding information, ... I am on the Rough fire mainly because, we have a house involved in this area, which was close to the fire. So it is, as I always did, opportunist, not in the mood to do a long term project as I understand you do. And I feel one needs a lot of expertise to do the job in a good way. I'll read the help section, and will do my best the next time I have to do it.
