Minor Edits

[edit]

I notice that you are marking most of your edits as minor, even though you are adding substantive information to articles when doing so. The definition of minor edits on Wikipedia is not necessarily the natural one. Only edits that are entirely uncontroversial, such as fixing typos, grammar or formatting are considered minor edits on Wikipedia. Please be aware that some editors hide minor edits from their watchlists, and disruptive users will often therefore attempt to mask disruptive edits by marking them as minor. For this reason, you really should avoid marking edits this way unless they really are minor. Thanks. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 10:01, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for bringing this to my attention! I think I took minor a bit literally and assumed it only meant small pieces of information, that's what I would class it as that, like when I fix an infobox photo or add a new detail in names, citations, etc. Your explanation makes perfect sense though, so thank you, and I will only use that tag when correcting grammar, typos, and formatting. Thanks again. :) Mechanical Elephant (talk) 10:08, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
