Flagging Andrew O'Connor (writer) for further review

[edit]

Hello, Mia8 … I recently encountered the article about Andrew O'Connor (writer) and in my opinion, it either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Biographies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it violates a copyright.

I am considering tagging Andrew O'Connor (writer) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) for deletion according to the Deletion policy … I do not have time to examine the article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.

I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article, or else a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page … please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation.

Be sure to read Ownership of articles, and remember that other editors may not share your opinion about the notability of the article's subject.

I do not mean to imply that your contribution is unappreciated … perhaps you should read Your first article … and remember, there was a time when I knew less about how Wikipedia works than you know right now. — Triwbe (talk) 09:32, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Andrew O'Connor (writer)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Andrew O'Connor (writer), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Article lacks Attribution to Verify WP:BIO or WP:BLP notability criteria.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. — 72.75.108.10 (talk) 22:29, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
