[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Bob Dylan do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 11:40, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
External links and conflict of interest policies
[edit]Instead of making silly and irrelevant comments on my talkpage I suggest you take a close look at Wikipedia's external link policies - as has already suggested to you above. Apart from the link policies it is also apparent from your user name that you have a conflict of interest regarding this link so I suggest you take a close look at at the conflict of interest policies as well. - The following is from the "Advertising and conflicts of interest" section of the external links policies at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links#Restrictions_on_linking
- "It is obvious that a link from Wikipedia to an external site may drive Web traffic to that site. But in line with Wikipedia policies, you should avoid linking to a site that you own, maintain, or represent—even if WP guidelines seem to imply that it may otherwise be linked. When in doubt, you may go to the talk page and let another editor decide. This suggestion is in line with WP's conflict-of-interest guidelines."
- Please read these policies before making further comments. If you think your website should be allowed then please discuss this at the article's talkpage. Thanks, Afterwriting (talk) 10:20, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 09:59, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Bob Dylan. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please stop adding your own website it is considered spamming Theroadislong (talk) 13:33, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Bob Dylan. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Michpom. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Bob Dylan, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 22:12, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
