I'm sorry, I'm new to Wikipedia

Don't worry. We were all new to it once, made mistakes, and were corrected. I'll give you a few little points of advice.
  • In a Talk Page, including yours or an article's, end a comment with four tildes ~~~~ which will sign and date it.
  • When you get a reprimand, don't erase it. It makes you look sneaky. Leave it, and answer it briefly to show the rest of us that you're paying atttention.
  • Don't be too eager to make new articles. As you can see in Talk:2012–13 US winter storm season the "Athena" question is controversial, and controversies are not among the first things to get into. Better to start with small improvements in what already exists, and to concentrate on matters not in the news that millions of people already know about.
Writing Wikipedia can be a lot of fun. It's just that to be effective on a big scale you need to learn various ins and outs. Technical, political, stylistic, what's easy, what's difficult, whatever. Plenty of us old-timers want to help. Many will read whatever you ask in Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions.

Ok :)

Hello Mikerodneyfox. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Winter Storm Brutus".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Winter Storm Brutus}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 18:01, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
