Help request

[edit]

help me Hello, I'm the President of the Miller Historical Society. I am trying to fix the Miller Beach Arts District entry to make sure it fits all requirements so it will not be deleted. I'm new to Wikipedia so I'm not sure that I'm doing everything correctly. I could really use your help. It is not the intention of this entry's creators for this to be seen as an advertisement. But rather the district is in a historically significant area with many architecturally notable and historically significant buildings. This new initiative(the Miller Beach Arts District) was just launched last month. As Miller Beach is a small Indiana community this has not generated a large media buzz as of yet. But it is significant as this district is endeavoring to revitalize a historic downtown district in one of America's rust belt cities in a historically significant area. Please advise as to what I should change add or omit to make this entry viable. I was just told that I have to change my name so it only represents me and not my group. I will hence be simply Miller History Man. Thanks Millerhistoricalsociety aka Miller History Man (Miller Historical Society (talk) 17:43, 12 May 2011 (UTC))[reply]

I see now you had posted this message, kind of hidden in between the clutter. There is an issue of conflict of interest in what you want to write about. The new name request was also blocked due to a misunderstanding, but it is still a conflict of interest as stated above. As you have opened that account, I will continue commenting there. -- Alexf(talk) 16:37, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
