Bogus 'James' Bosworth Content Still Needs Removing[edit]

This information needs to go with your request

Right, here are some sources.

1. The Wikipedia article entitled '12th Royal Lancers' states under the heading 'Early Wars', in the penultimate paragraph, as follows: "In 1855, it [ie the regiment] reinforced The Light Cavalry Brigade in the Crimea after the Charge Of The Light Brigade at the Battle Of Balaclava".

2. There is an article in 'Sheldrake's Aldershot And Sandhurst Military Gazette' dated 4 November 1882, accessible online via the British Newspaper Archive site, which gives a full account of John Hacker Bosworth's career in the 12th Lancers, and his subsequent unfortunate accidental death on the railway at Northam, under the heading 'Shocking Death Of A Station-Master'. In that article, it clearly states: "From the Cape he went to India, and thence to the Crimea (but he was not in the Balaclava charge, as reported)." If you have trouble finding this article, please contact me via my personal email, <redacted>, and I will send it to you.

I hope it isn't going to be much longer before we can get this piece gratuitous twaddle permanently removed.

@Irresponsible feotus: As stated at the bottom of your request, you need to provide a reliable source to support the change you want made. I have no knowledge of Charge of the Light Brigade so please post further comments on the talk page in order to keep the discussion centralized. Please do not post personal information on Wikipedia. yahtzee updates[edit]

Hi, I am Olaf Vancura the author of the cited reference. I am adding some color to the text. Thanks, Olaf — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 01:36, 26 September 2016 (UTC)

What's your deal?[edit]

Why are you nuking my perfectly good edits? I've never had this problem: overzealous moderation. What gives?
