pastebin link
[edit]Hi Mosez, I keep removing it lately because it looks bad when the creator/maintainer adds their own link without getting anyone else to agree to it in the first place. I believe that just sets precedent for every other pastebin person to add their own link, and then you end up with the 200 links the page has had over time, most of which were nothing at all new or different. Many were, however, but only did a paste a day or less, which just doesn't rank up there enough to be on the list. I think nopaste.info seems to have enough traction, age, and visibility to be on the list, but I'd like to have at least more than yourself choose its validity to be there. I've asked ZacBowling to take a look as well. I'm not opposed to the link, just opposed to how it was put there. (Yes, I put my own Pastebin.ca link there, but I also wrote 75% of that article and its survived multiple list prunings) --Slepp (talk) 23:08, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- gnopaste is notable enough. It's really a software package, not a pastebin service (nopaste.info is). Depends on if the list is for software or for list of hosted bins. I believe software should go on the main pastebin article while the lists of services should go on List of pastebins. ZacBowling (user|talk) 07:10, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, I think the service is as important, or more important, than the software, given the utility role it plays in the environment. Gnopaster and nopaste.info satisifies both those roles. --Slepp (talk) 07:51, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Mosez. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Mosez~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
