November 29

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Gerry Murphy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Onorem 14:14, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:Rdb header logo.gif

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Rdb header logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:23, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Rolldabeats

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Rolldabeats, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hey, I noticed that you have made some edits to the article rolldabeats. I'm going to assume that you are the same Haste from the site in question, if not it may be worth mentioning that somewhere. While writing articles about something you are significantly related to is permitted on Wikipedia, it is strongly discouraged as it tends to violate Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. As such I would recommend you avoid adding new information to this article yourself, particularly as your personal knowledge of the subject may lack verifiability. If you feel something needs adding it is better to suggest it on the article's talk page and allow another editor to add it for you.

However should the page contain anything that is incorrect, especially if it is libellous, do not hesitate to resolve it as you have done in the past. Please remember though that only information that is verifiable is acceptable on Wikipedia, so anything else should be removed and not corrected. For the purpose of information about a website, the site's about page is acceptable as a reference, so any information there can be included in the article. Currently this does not explicitly include site ownership, so this is not really verifiable. This should be resolved if you would like the article to continue to state co-ownership of the site, otherwise only Thijs as the domain owner can be confirmed (via the WHOIS protocol) and hence included in the article.

Right, that's the NPOV talk done, sorry to throw that at you. I have brought the article up to scratch now, including finally getting some references for it, so hopefully you shouldn't need to change much anyway. If you could poke me when the ownership thing for the site is updated I'd appreciate it, and if you have any other questions or requests feel free to leave them on my talk page.
