Lodal Section

[edit]

I think a version of the Lodal section resembling this one[1] will be more complete and slightly more objective, save for the citation I'm awaiting from User:Jmlodal. KevinPuj 04:10, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

True, but if we remove that, I think that it also needs to be mentioned in the admissions section. mrholybrain's talk 12:46, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean? In this diff [2], nothing is removed. KevinPuj 14:50, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I wasn't thinking. mrholybrain's talk 16:06, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There. I added the section. mrholybrain's talk 16:11, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jmlodal has reverted the section from the real article again. I have removed myself from editing the section, so I cannot revert it. I have also indicated the to the user that it is frowned upon to edit articles with a great personal connection. I've got a working draft of the section going here that I hope you will include in your sandbox once it is properly sourced. (A great number of sources are in the wikicode but do not show, hit edit to see them). I mentioned to Jmlodal here all of my concerns under the section "Your recent edit". Please keep an eye out on this and do as you objectively see fit.

Visits

[edit]

There's too many visit sections, in my opinion. You could move them all to a separate subarticle with a summary left here or you could condense them. KevinPuj 14:52, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. They definitely need to be moved out of Awards and Distinctions. I think that they don't need a subarticle unless we can really flesh them out. mrholybrain's talk 16:08, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I put them in a visits section. mrholybrain's talk 16:31, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Still, it looks excessive to have so many subsections for these people. The rule should be that only if they're so significant to deserve mention in the table of contents should they have their own section. Stuyvesant's page doesn't even have any visit info. Note that Stuyvesant's page was a featured article. TJ's page should be modeled after it. Yes, we don't have a rich history like them but we can do other sections better.--Chronicidal 00:57, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Curriculum

[edit]

I have the 2007-2008 course selection guide for TJ, so I'll be working on the curriculum section. mrholybrain's talk 16:34, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

All freshman take IBET, it is not just a program that TJ offers. KevinPuj 21:51, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I know, I'm working my way through the curriculum section. mrholybrain's talk 00:46, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I fixed an external link. It said offical report on admissions, but it was unofficial. mrholybrain's talk 17:14, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures

[edit]

Perhaps you could look to put in more pictures. A good place to start would be with a picture of the planetarium (with permission, at the bottom of this page) [3]. I also noticed that the planetarium is not in this article, so that would be a good thing to add. KevinPuj 19:16, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
