Dir que un text conté errors greus no és cap comentari personal. Si no és una traducció automàtica i coneixes el que ho ha traduït, demana-li disculpes si no ha entès així! Mstrubell (talk) 11:11, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

Pi de les Tres Branques[edit]

Hi. Are you Miquel Strubell? I had a go at translating Verdaguer's "Lo Pi de les Tres Branques" into English, and put it up on Pi de les Tres Branques, but my standard of Catalan is not great and from what I have seen you have perfect English and Catalan, so if you fancy taking a quick look at it that would be fantastic. Cheers. — Rwxrwxrwx (talk) 21:08, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Yes I am Miquel Strubell! I'm sorry to have taken so long to reply! You did a really good job, Rwxrwxrwx and got the meaning almost perfect.

Here are a few minor suggestions (your text --> alternative)

from the conqueror of Muret Mont-rodon asked for him  Mont-rodon asks for him back To the victor of Muret

Montfort does not want to give him, saying he will be kept as a son-in-law.  Montfort will not give him back, saying he grow up into a son-in-law.

(Jaume’s father had been defeated and killed at the Battle of Muret, when Jaume was but a baby)

Catalonia, lift your forehead,  Catalonia, raise your brow

as they will see him enough at Lleida in front of the Catalan court.  they will see him full well at Lleida before the Catalan court.

green all year like the emerald.  green all year like an emerald.

trees look like mushrooms among their overlord,  Other trees look like mushrooms around their overlord,

a dome of twigs a dome of branches

Lord James falls to his knees  King James falls to his knees

Lord James awakens:  King James awakens:

—I dreamed that I was big  “I dreamed that I was great

my crown was their crowns.—  my crown crowned them.”

the sun shows its face to him  the sun shines on his face

Keep in touch!!
