[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Jason Mraz do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 19:32, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

Hello C. Fred. I'm a little confused by your message regarding the link I inserted on the Jason Mraz page. Advertising was not my intention. I was only posting a link to his sheet music not for the sake of advertising but rather for readers interested in seeing and knowing if this musical artist's music is in print.
I just looked at the Stevie Ray Vaughan page and they have Stevie Ray Vaughan at Sony Music as a link and that doesn't seem all that different from what I was doing.
Thank you for your time! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Musician812 (talk • contribs)
- The relevant guideline at WP:External links is #5 of links to be avoided: "Links to web pages that primarily exist to sell products or services." So the difference as that the link to the Legacy Recordings (Sony) page about Stevie Ray Vaughan contains a biography, reviews of his work, and other such information about Vaughan, while the link to the sheet music page for Mraz contains primarily products for sale about Mraz. —C.Fred (talk) 15:52, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
