Welcome!

Hello, Nadiiuni, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Iron Road (film), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

A tag has been placed on Iron Road (film), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. July 2009[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Iron_Road_(film), you will be blocked from editing. TRL (talk) 17:51, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This account, Nadiiuni, has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because your username does not meet our username policy.
This is often not a reflection on the user, and you are encouraged to choose a new account name which does meet our guidelines and are invited to contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. If you feel this block was made in error, you may quickly and easily appeal it—see below.

Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username. In brief, usernames should not be offensive, disruptive, promotional, misleading, or related to a 'real-world' group or organization. Also, usernames may not end with the string "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

If you have already made edits and wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name you may request a change in username. To do so, please follow these directions:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can usually still edit your own talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use. The account is created upon acceptance – do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change since we can far more easily allocate your new name to you, if it is not yet used. Usernames that have already been taken are listed here. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username.
  4. Alternatively, you can "abandon" the contributions under this username and create a new account, which is much faster and easier, especially if you have few or no edits.
Last, the automated software systems that prevent vandalism may have been activated, which can cause new account creation to be blocked also. If you have not acted in a deliberately inappropriate manner, please let us know if this happens, and we will deactivate the block as soon as possible. You may also appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} on your user talk page or emailing the administrator who blocked you. - Dank (push to talk) 18:19, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Please visit WP:CHU as soon as possible.

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Because your account was used for promotion of a company or organization with a username that promotes or implies affiliation with that company or organization. Wikipedia does not allow any form of spam or other promotion of people, products, companies or other groups (even non-commercial or charitable ones). Using Wikipedia for such purposes will result in the blocking of the account involved. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for our policies about this.

In addition, user accounts are for individuals only, not for companies or groups or other collective editing. Your username should reflect this. Usernames that appear to be promotional (such as those that make reference to a company or product) violate our username policy and are typically blocked to enforce that policy.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this message box.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Tell us what new username you want to use. Please make sure that your new username does not violate our username policy and check that it has not already been taken (click here to search).
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If instead you believe that you have been blocked by mistake (i.e., you have not in fact been using Wikipedia for promotional purposes), please write {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this message box and replace the text "Your reason here" with the reason why. See also Wikipedia:Appealing a block for more information.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I'm not willing to unblock you if you're going to continue the edits which contributed to your block. However, please familiarize yourself with the instructions here on how to request a name change if you are unblocked again. — Hersfold (t/a/c) 23:49, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What edits do you plan to make to Wikipedia outside of Iron Road? Given that last time you were unblocked you simply went back to making the same edits to the same area without changing your username, could you tell us why you should be unblocked again?~ mazca talk 17:03, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm new here and not yet used to the modes of operation. I tried to change my username, but wasn't successful. I thought it was changed, but it wasn't. Meanwhile I made some changes to add references to the article. Then I figured out, that my username wasn't changed, because I made a mistake. I identified my mistake and would now like to change my username like I already tried to add references to the article. Right now I can't say what changes I want to make outside of Iron Road. This whole Wikipedia world is new to me and I'd like to explore it. Many thanks. ~ nadiiunion 1:12, 30 July 2009

{{unblock|1. new username: nadiiuni 2. I understand the reason for my block - I'm not allowed to use my account for promotion, neither am I allowed to represent a company, organization or product or to have a username which implies affiliation with a company, organization or product. I didn't read the modes of operation carefully enough when I chose my first username. Now I understand, that the username implified a promotional intention. Furthermore I read up more carefully on the process how to change my username. I also ensure, that I won't repeat the identical or similar edits for which I was blocked. 3. I am an individual and don't represent a company. I am a university student and am interested in music, (canadian and german) movies and art. I would like to make contributions to these fields, if I will be unblocked.}}

I have unblocked you to allow you to change your username and get back to editing. Make sure that your first edit is to Wikipedia:Changing username, in order to request the new username you picked. If you don't, you might well be blocked again. Mangojuicetalk 18:40, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
