Creating new articles

[edit]

Hello, I have noticed you created many drafts as your first actions after creating a Wikipedia account. While I appreciate these contributions, I think your time is better spent improving existing articles, as that will help you get a feel for skills necessary to create new ones, such as notability, inline citations, synthesis and original research, etc. One good way to start is at your newcomer homepage. Oh okay! Thank you for the suggestion. Outside of the newer ecomomic draft, I will focus on editing existing Wikipedia articles. Neo Adamik (talk) 19:12, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you believe I should stop my efforts with the 1960’s economic draft? If that’s the case I can comply with that also. Neo Adamik (talk) 19:14, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you can prove that the topic is notable then definitely. Statistics from the US government don't satisfy the 'significant coverage' part, as they don't speak about the 1960s boom. In fact, without a source specifically naming the boom, the whole draft would qualify as original synthesis of published material. Sungodtemple (talkcontribs) 19:48, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh okay got it! Thank you, I understand. I will take your advice and focus on editing. Neo Adamik (talk) 19:57, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I created a draft for the Perry school shooting, but that was denied because you doubted that the shooting would have a lasting impact. But now, there is an article for it. I’m not necessarily complaining, I am just confused on how the system works. Was the other person able to prove it will have a lasting impact? Neo Adamik (talk) 00:23, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
