[edit]- Wow I'm impressed by your knowledge of director Mamoru Oshii... but maybe the short definition under the anime thread should stay short and more detailed info should be kept in the Mamoru Oshii article. I think you'd also enjoy the Production IG forums its a good place to discuss most of oshii's work :).

Copy and paste move
[edit]Hello, Neuromancien. It appears that you copied and pasted Buttetsu Bateau to Bateau. Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself using the move link at the top of the page, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you, Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 06:51, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Roger it was a move to Batou ( someone is editing Batou and rename it to an odd contreversional name.--Neuromancien 16:54, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]In your recent edit to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig, you reverted an edit made by myself attempting to clean up the article of excess trivia, without providing a significant reason from any Wikipedia policy referencing your action. Please see WP:TRIVIA and Wikipedia:No original research; simply watching a film and comparing its similarities is original research and therefore cannot be included in Wikipedia articles. Please also be civil and refrain from personal attacks against other editors; claiming other editors are "mad" is a personal attack which can be reported. Thank you. ···巌流? · Talk to Ganryuu 00:20, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- I would also like to remind you not to excessively revert other editors' edits. Doing so, especially without citing a single Wikipedia policy, is harmful to the article. Please see Wikipedia:Revert. Thank you. ···巌流? · Talk to Ganryuu 00:23, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- You just revert the last contribution first ( addition of Wings of desire as reference in the trivia : it was mine anyway and so also for the original name der himmel uber Berlin ) and then RV again starting cleaning the whole section and especialy the mentionned Episode Keep cool it was not personnal PEACE use Talk:Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG --Neuromancien 00:27, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- You have just made four reverts within the last hour; this is a violation of Wikipedia:Three-revert rule, you can be blocked for over 24-hours because of this. You did not bother to discuss these changes prior to reverting on the article's talk page and even after being warned about how your edit did not conform to Wikipedia's policy on original research and directed to a page explaining the revert policy, you persisted in your reverts. You also reverted each of these edits completely, even the content which you did not disagree with; for example, in your revert, you removed the Excess Trivia template and added back an unsourced section regarding a Adult Swim broadcast, without giving a single explanation. Please refrain from such edits. I would therefore advise you to take back the reverts you have just made to the article, and cite sources for your claims. You have not cited a single Wikipedia policy nor verifiable reference for your allegations. ···巌流? · Talk to Ganryuu 01:11, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Daijobu I'm on the talk page of the mentionned page : Wikipedia works by building consensus. Consensus is an inherent part of the wiki process. Wikipedia:Consensus you made 4 reverts too i give up anyway ! See you there Talk:Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG I won't complain anymore and i am sorry if you misunderstood my ironical RV Sorry ! - There is already consensus on the policies of original research; this is an official Wikipedia policy and must be followed; please see Wikipedia:No original research. You haven't yet cited a single verifiable reference, source nor valid reason for your reverts, which went against several of the policies I've mentioned above; please do not make false allegations. Even though you're stating that you've "given up", you haven't self-reverted any of your edits, which would be the best stop forward now. ···巌流? · Talk to Ganryuu 01:27, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- I will not revert anything anymore. I first only add a reference nothing else. Before this first signed RV you were yourself just reverting formely some anonymous addition not clearing the article. If you want to remove the Trivia now discuss it on talk page before. That's all.Feel free to explain why we should keep or delete some of it.Yasumimasho --Neuromancien 01:42, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- What are you talking about? I've already explained why much of the content in the trivia section cannot be included in the article, due to it being original research and moreover, completely unverified and containing speculative content, to top it all off. You haven't even responded to these explanations, nor have you given a single explanation for your reverts, nor a source. ···巌流? · Talk to Ganryuu 01:57, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Trivia was added because the simple list of episodes was a copyvio ! The official german name of the episode 18 DVD is named from the film too [2]--Neuromancien
- Since this is the English wikipedia, a German-licensed title of the episode is irrelevant (since this is a Japanese television series), and this does not prove any connection whatsoever to the speculation and allegations made in the trivia section. Again, simply because one has seen the film, noticed its similarities, and basing the flux of the content on that assumption constitutes original research. ···巌流? · Talk to Ganryuu 02:14, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps but this is a consensus view of thousand of viewers.Dig the web with a good search engine and also see the Page history it was discuss long ago.I will be happy to talk further but it is time to sleep for me ( and sorry for losing so many energy and time together in such (bad) circumstances ) My dear Friend Peace --Neuromancien 02:24, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

- Please refrain from falsely accusing other editors, as you recently did in this article's talk page. See Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines; do not change the content and meaning of your own comment substantially after you have posted, it is considered bad taste to do so. You changed your initial post here, and changed your word from "deleted" to "reverted", which is totally false, as I reverted only a couple of times, never four; whereas I removed the trivia section, this was a completely new post I made in the cleanup I which attempted, which you reverted for no valid reason. Whereas I did not revert your subsequent edit and attempted to discuss the matter, you, in fact, reverted each of my edits completely, without citing a single valid reason. I therefore ask you to change your comment back to your original comment (where you stated I "deleted" the excess trivia); you have failed to assume good faith and moreover made certainly extremely incivil and rude comments: if this persists, I will report you. Why is it that you continue with such incivil behaviour even after claiming that you are apparently "sorry"? ···巌流? · Talk to Ganryuu 05:06, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- i mistype deletetion first but i can change to deletions if you want : good faith please ;-) --Neuromancien 15:00, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Interestingly, the claimed reference to Der Himmel über Berlin was already present in the list of episodes (List of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex episodes), therefore this should not have been cited in the main article for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG, per WP:TRIVIA (please read this article). I am therefore extremely perplexed at why you would revert those edits in the first place. Please read WP:TRIVIA and refrain from adding trivia to articles. Thank you. ···巌流? · Talk to Ganryuu 04:26, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Articles for deletion nomination of Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection
[edit]I have nominated Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
