"[...] many detractors of certain religious doctrines [...]" 587 BC is not a religious position, it's the consensus among mainstream scholars (who are not necessarily motivated detractors). If you have independent reliable sources that support Furuli's views, I suggest to list them at the article's talk page (since articles are based on such sources and should cite them). Some related policy pages: WP:RS, WP:CITE. An example in the existing article is a mention from Hayes (who although not supporting the dating, still considered his work interesting).
