Biography of Vo Nguyen Giap[edit]

Hi I have checked the source on this (McDonald's biography of Giap, based largely on interviews with him)and confirmed that the name of Giap's first wife appears there as it does in the Wikipedia article. It may of course be wrong as I don't believe McDonald spoke Vietnamese; he was basically a military historian so the detail's of Giap's early family life were perhaps not of primary importance to him; or he might easily have got his notes mixed up over such a detail. Anyway, that's what that source says. If there are more reliable sources which give a different name then I've no problem with changing it. Thanks Mccapra (talk) 14:13, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I don't have any English source here on Vo Nguyen Giap's family life. But as I know, his first wife was Nguyen Thi Quang Thai, a younger sister of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai. And in 1946, he got remarried with Dang Bich Ha, a daughter of Prof Dang Thai Mai. Nguyễn Thanh Quang (talk) 02:20, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
