Notability of Henrik Karl Nielsen

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Henrik Karl Nielsen, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 22:28, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Henrik Karl Nielsen. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Whstchy 22:37, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Henrik Karl Nielsen. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Finngall talk 22:41, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Henrik Karl Nielsen

[edit]

I've nominated Henrik Karl Nielsen, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Henrik Karl Nielsen satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Henrik Karl Nielsen and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Henrik Karl Nielsen during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. --Finngall talk 01:00, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nielsen crater

[edit]

Hello,

I have noticed your contribution on Harald Herborg Nielsen. The NIELSEN crater on the moon is named after him and my grandfather's brother Axel V. Nielsen. Where did you find all the information on Harald Herborg Nielsen ?

Please e mail me at mail@hknielsen.com.

Best wishes

Hi. I listed my primary source in the references section of the Harald Herborg Nielsen article:
  • Williams, Dudley (1973). "Harald Herborg Nielsen" (PDF). Journal of the Optical Society of America. 63 (5): 638. Retrieved 2007-09-04.
I hope that was helpful. — RJH (talk) 21:34, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
