Feedback request[edit]

Hi, Nour. I got your message. Is there anything I can help you with? Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:19, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, yes! I just needed to know how do I continue to edit sources. I am just a little bit confused. Thank you in advance!

Are you using the VisualEditor, or are you using Wiki Code? If you're using the VisualEditor, start here. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:59, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I will be brainstorming some ideas on here after our discussion after class today.Erin.l.anderson (talk) 18:02, 12 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]

Perfect! I will get a hold of Tricia to brainstorm some topics as well and we can meet after class on Wednesday, September 14th, 2016 to see what we can come up with. Let's try to include our topics on here and decide what fits best to meet the requirement for the project! Thank you! Nour.m.alabase (talk) 18:44, 12 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]

Hi, Erin and Tricia! I am interested in knowing more about the Asch and Social Conformity. I don't know much about it but it came through our assigned chapter. I have looked it up on Wikipedia and think it would be interesting to edit that article since there is not much of historical background regarding that topic. As of now, I will continue to search other topics but this one caught my attention and thought I would share to get your opinion. Erin, I know you have mentioned something to me about social experiments and I think this might be interesting to you, but please let me know if you have any other ideas. Thank you! Nour.m.alabase (talk) 17:01, 13 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]

Hi, thank you for helping me direct to the page. I agree with you Nour I think that is a great topic. I will bring more suggestions to class, but so far that one seems the most interesting.Triicberg12 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:53, 13 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at some of the available ones on black board, I also profile of mood states also sounds like an interesting topic. There is a variety of information from outside sources, and it is underdeveloped on wikipedia. Triicberg12 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:09, 13 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, guys! so I was looking through some of the psychology stubs that Professor Council gave us a link to and under the abnormal psych I found some interesting ones to do with different phobias that are kind of unusual and need some work on the articles because there is not much information. Some of the articles that need more information and could be interesting include; Anthophobia (fear of flowers) or Agyrophobia (fear of crossing streets) just a couple of ideas thought these two were pretty unusual and could be fun to kind of look at. I also did look into the topic you suggested Nour and I think that one could be a could topic for our group! We can all discuss more after class and decide on one! :) Erin.l.anderson (talk) 05:16, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like all of those are great topics! I am down for either one honestly. Let's meet like Erin said and look at the topics on Wikipedia and see which one could use more editing on it. I have alway liked exposure therapy so looking at topics about "fear walking on the street, etc" could be very interesting. Let us meet after class for a few minutes and discuss our topics. Nour.m.alabase (talk) 16:42, 14 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]

I think your idea Nour would be really interesting but I don't know if we would be able to do that one. It looks like it's pretty well covered besides the history and I think he might want us to choose one that is perhaps less detailed and needs more editing.. But we can definitely talk to him if this one we all want to do and see if it would work! Erin.l.anderson (talk) 17:42, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Erin and I spoke about the topics since Tricia was unable to meet after class. We were able to discuss a few topics and came down to Nosocomephobia and Agyrophobia. Tricia, please let us know what your input is on these topics. I will be emailing Dr. Council about these topics. Thank you!! Nour.m.alabase (talk) 18:07, 14 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]

Ok so now that we kind of have an idea what we are doing, Nour do you want to make a sandbox if you have not already? I was looking at the profile mood states wiki page, and there is not much there right now. We should start considering what subsections we should add.Triicberg12 (talk)

Tricia, I would highly recommend asking Dr. Council since this is not on our assignment and I would hate to jump right in not knowing what is next. I would love to get a jump start on this too but I believe its best if we go by one at a time so things are on the right track. Thank you!! Nour.m.alabase (talk) 13:44, 16 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]

Your ideas about a topic[edit]

Hi all, I agree that Nosocomephobia has more promise as a topic. Since avoiding hospitals has health implications there's probably some literature on the condition and its treatment. You guys need to do some research now and see if there's much literature on the topic. J.R. Council (talk) 21:34, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • BTW, click on "Start a new section" in the tool bar when you change topics. It make things easier to follow. Also, be sure to sign with the four tildes. J.R. Council (talk) 21:40, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Profile of mood states[edit]

As I was reading through the rest of your comments, I saw this topic had been mentioned. This is a very popular scale and there is a lot of research literature on it. I think the Wikipedia article has a lot of potential for improvement. You should reconsider this topic. J.R. Council (talk) 21:44, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Are you referring to the two topics that we included in the email? We do not mind changing the topic. I believe we went through Blackboard and clicked on the sources you indicated and we just followed it and looked at some topics. If you would like for us to reconsider this topic, we greatly can. Thank you again! Nour.m.alabase (talk) 04:09, 15 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]

  • What I'm saying is that although Nosocomephobia is an okay topic, Profile of Mood States would be better because it will be easier to find information and history on this topic. J.R. Council (talk) 17:14, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

oh, Alright! I suppose that makes sense. I did look it up and it does sound very interesting. We will take this into consideration and look more into it for the next assignments. Tricia and Erin, I hope you guys are also ok with what Dr. Council shared with us. I believe this topic can be great to work on. Please let me know if there are any final ideas before class tomorrow, therefore, we can get this taken care of for Assignment three. Thank you again, Dr. Council for your time. Nour.m.alabase (talk) 23:40, 15 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]

I did look into this topic a bit and I would be completely fine considering and or switching to this topic. It seems interesting and like we would be able to find a lot of information on it. Thanks Erin.l.anderson (talk) 02:12, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Great! I believe Tricia was able to read through these last night but I am not sure what her thoughts are on this topic. I am sure she said she was alright with it. We will just continue to proceed with this topic. I know it will be interesting to write about. Thank you for your contribution ladies. Nour.m.alabase (talk) 13:42, 16 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]

Your topic: Nosocomephobia[edit]

Hello Group 10: After steering you toward POMS, I'm going to steer you back to Nosocomephobia. In trying to find choices that don't overlap, I need to give POMS to another group whose first choice was already taken. I am hoping that Nosocomephobia will have enough research and literature associated with it to let you generate a good article. Please try to dig in and do some preliminary research right away to find out if this is topic that would generate a good article. J.R. Council (talk) 04:20, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Will do, thank you! Nour.m.alabase (talk) 06:26, 19 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]
