mentors

Im looking for folks willing to interact with my students to help with the lots of little questions they will have while they are working on their projects at home. Adopting one or two would be wonderful.Thelmadatter (talk) 00:28, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! English wiki as I teach an English as a foreign language class. Might do a English to Spanish translation of a short article if there is time, but Im mostly in charge of teaching writing. Im introducing the concept of working on WP today in class, with the assignment of creating their userpages. Ill keep you posted.Thelmadatter (talk) 11:55, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

welcome

Hey... thanks for welcoming some of my students! What's the code for the box that is appearing on their talk pages? Its more complex than what appears with the {{welcome}} Thelmadatter (talk) 14:00, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Oaxaca

HI. you interested in helping promote the article to GA? With a bit of work I think it can make it. Dr. Blofeld 08:44, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Excelllent, well an insider does help. Are you a speaker of both English and Spanish? I've started User:Nvvchar/Sandbox 2. These are the remaining sections left to write. The education section should also be expanded. Perhaps we could begin by listing possible sources in each section to write it? Dr. Blofeld 16:23, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Muy bueno amigo. Este es excellente. Saludos! Dr. Blofeld 16:42, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

I don't speak much Spanish though. I've added the Spanish wiki info in User:Nvvchar/Sandbox 2. Can you translate? Dr. Blofeld 16:59, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

You probably know what is notable in sport in Oaxaca, football etc. If you could write something and find some sources to support it this would be great. Dr. Blofeld 18:25, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Yeah the strange thing about es wiki is that some articles will have high quality sourced material with pretty pictures and then suddenly there is this unreferenced haphazard dubious info which is not really encyclopedic. They seem to lack the numbers to maintain quality. Work on whatever you want to these sections need writing about though, the order in which we do so doesn't matter! Dr. Blofeld 18:32, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Excellent. Does Oaxaca have any newspapers/TV/radio? All we need now is a media section and an improvement of the transport section and then it can be copyedited and then proposed for GA. Dr. Blofeld 09:40, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Thank you

Hello Nsaum75. I am happy to know that you can help me while I learn more about Wikipedia. It's very difficult to understand and I don't know how to use many things, so I will be in contact with you if I need something.

Thank you! :)

P.S. Sorry if I wrote something wrong...

Title issue.

Hi, Hello Nsaum75, I recently edited an article of a oaxacan district. My main issue is that I dont know how to add a title. I made a research about the history of the region, but I can´t add a title which I want to name as “History of Chahuites“ could you help me? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Paramo91 (talkcontribs) 00:51, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Oaxaca (GA nom)

Hi. Oaxaca is currently a GA nom although I don't trust this new GA bot system of listing. However. The history and demographic sections need condensing and it needs some information in the religion section about the important churches and needs a rewrite that section.Dr. Blofeld 14:48, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

Thank you very much Nsaum. Paramo91 (talk) 16:44, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
