Notice

The article Eva and Franco Mattes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article reads somewhere between a straight promotional piece ("counted among the pioneers of the Net Art movement... are renowned for their subversion of public media...") and a piece trying to right some mysterious, great wrong ("manipulated video games, internet technologies and street advertising to reveal truths concealed by contemporary society..."), both of which are completely unacceptable for a Wikipedia article. Also, about half of the references come straight from their own website, which definitely violates WP:ABOUTSELF requirement #5. (I'm not filing a G11 because there is probably enough text in the article to be able to cut out the promotional material and still have a minuscule bit left——and if they really have been mentioned in the New York Times and the BBC, as the External Links section claims, then they probably are notable enough for an article. But this current article should certainly not be it.)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
