Help with article
[edit]{{helpme}}
I am trying to write an article about Orchestra Kingston and are not sure which parts I need to delete or change to make this viable. The group is an establish community orchestra with Charitable status however they have few references that can be cited. There have been articles in the local news papers about the group. The group contributes to the music of the Kingston area.

- Hi there! I can try and help you out a bit with your article but before I can do that there is one thing you need to do immediately. Usernames that are promotional or that indicate a possible conflict of interest are not allowed on Wikipedia, so before you do anything else, you first need to change your User name...
- Now, this might seem complicated, but really it's not. You just need to follow a few simple steps:
- Read Wikipedia:Changing username... then
- Go to Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple... then
- Follow the instructions there.
- As soon as you get your account-name straightened out, you can start working on your Orchestra Kingston article and I'll try to help, as much as I can (and if I can't figure it out, I'll find someone who can), but it is really important that you get your User name fixed first. In the meantime, if the article is deleted or something like that, do not panic! Articles can be undeleted, moved to a holding area, worked on, moved back and so on. There is no deadline! So, let's get everything sorted out, one step at a time. Get a new Wiki-name, leave a message on my talkpage about it, and we can start improving things from there.Shearonink (talk) 04:26, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
The article Orchestra Kingston has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non notable local orchestra. WP:BEFORE shows no evidence of reliable, secondary, substantial sources and so fails WP:GNG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Cardiffbear88 (talk) 06:51, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
