Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Request reason:

I understood the reasons for your block and will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked. My new username could be "Oriolo Romano Observatory". I have not absolutely used Wikipedia for promotional purposes. I have not yet experienced to use wikipedia and I just wanted to give information about the Oriolo Romano observatory and generally to give advice on astronomy

Decline reason:

I apologize for any confusion, but (as indicated in the original block message), your username violates the username policy which indicates a username can not be the name of a business, organization, famous person, etc. You also indicate that you have not used WIkipedia for promotional purposes, but you state in the same sentence that you "just wanted to give information about the Oriolo Romano observatory". That's a promotional purpose. Now, if you want to contribute to astronomy articles in general, that's perfectly acceptable, but you will need to use a different username (just let me know what you want it changed to), and you will need to avoid promoting your own observatory. ···日本穣^? · Talk to Nihonjoe 18:37, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
