Spelling

[edit]

See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Spelling for reasons to not change spelling such as 'honour' to 'honor'. Also, do not 'correct' spelling or grammar to content that is a quotation without checking the reference to see if the quoted text was accurately copied. In the same vein (See Manual of Style, below): Some people use the serial comma. This is a comma before "and" or "or" at the end of a series, regardless of whether it is needed for clarification purposes.

For example:

X, Y, and Z (with an Oxford comma) X, Y and Z (without an Oxford comma)

Wikipedia has no preference between the two styles, but requests that the chosen style be used consistently within an article. If an article does not use the comma, do not add it. David notMD (talk) 11:49, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar

[edit]

If content is a quote, do not change grammar or spelling within the quote (unless you confirm that the quoted content has an error that was made with the transfer of the quote from the reference to the Wikipedia article). David notMD (talk) 14:01, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
