Bomberman
[edit]Please, stop changing the first game in the article about the series (and other related articles too). Bomberman did debut in 1983. The NES/Famicom game rearranged it in the way we all are familiar with, but the 1983 computer game is still the very first one. I don't understand why you later changed it from 1989 to 1987. Sources around the internet and Konami themselves recognize it as the first one even though you consider it a "prototype" or a different game. I recommend you to first go to the talk page of the article to reach a consensus before you make edits like those. 200.59.159.162 (talk) 00:12, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
- Agreed. Please kindly stop reverting all of my corrections for no good reason - your point of contention is right here. I will quickly explain my corrections from top to bottom: 1) the (unnecessary) 1987 date is not the release year of the series as a whole, 2) Bombergirl is the latest iteration, and I'm not sure why the source for Super Bomberman R is needed or in Russian, 3) the 1983 and 1985 video games are generally considered different outside of Wikipedia, so "conversion" is a better word to describe the process, 4) the 1983 computer game has a space in the name, 5) "Lode Runner" is how the character is referred to within the Lode Runner series, so the ending text "BOMBER MAN BECOMES RUNNER" seems like Engrish, 6) the name of the scientist character from the Hige Hige Bandits is "Dr. Mechado" as seen in Saturn Bomberman, 7) Bomberman as a title is to be italicized, 8) Max is known as "Max Bomber" as a selectable character in Super Bomberman R (when set to English), 9) Bomberman 2 DS is shorthand, as the proper name of the name is simply "Bomberman 2", 10) Dr. Ein is known as "Professor Ein" in the English version of Bomberman Generation, 11) the "Five Dastardly Bombers" is the name which the characters are most known by in English sources, appearing in-game in Bomberman Tournament and Super Bomberman R, 12) the manual reference for the bombers being produced by Bagura is unnecessary, 13) as far as I know, the exact relationship Pretty Bomber has to White Bomber and Black Bomber is unconfirmed and merely hinted at until Super Bomberman R, 14) Bagura has so many alternate renderings that listing them all would just be unsightly, so I've trimmed it to the first and most common versions, 15) the final area of Bomberman '94 is called an artificial comet in the sound test, 16) stating that Professor Bagura has been redesigned and rebranded "Emperor Buggler" in Super Bomberman R is an accurate statement, and 17) minor changes to shorten the page text that does not actually affect the article in any meaningful way.
- Specifically regarding the launch date of the series, it has been addressed on the talk page. You can include your own input there and see if you can affect consensus. Once again, do not keep edit warring the information to your liking as that is very frowned upon; right now, the article states that the years 1983 and 1985 are used by conflicting official sources, which is (apparently) true and does not require further edits. - As a reminder, several sources on the talk page have been checked and scrutinized. I would appreciate if you can transcribe the relevant portion of Shin Bomberman Zenhyakka and add the page number that supposedly makes the claim that Bakudan Otoko is a separate series. Also, please do not revert several minor corrections because you do not like one major difference in an edit. Metalsonic89 (talk) 14:23, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
先日からずっと私のトークページに文章を足し続けているようですが、どなたでしょうか。それと英語はそこまで流暢に操れないので、その点ご容赦願います。
You have been adding text to my talk page from the other day, but who is it? Also, I am not good at English so much, so please go easy on me. PC Engine (talk) 04:57, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
