Ronald T. Raines and West Essex High School[edit]

Notables in such lists require their own Wikipedia articles (or an extremely strong case that one should exist) and reliable and verifiable sources supporting the claim that the individual attended the school. Your edits to the article for West Essex High School and its list of notables include entries and changes that relate to notability, but do not establish that these individuals attended West Essex. For example, the source you added for Ronald T. Raines establishes that he was a Guggenheim Fellow, but what's needed is a source showing that he attended the school, and my search of Google / News / Archive didn't turn anything up, nor was there any source in his article. You may also want to review Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy based on your user name and the articles you have been editing, to ensure that you edit these articles in an appropriate manner. Please feel free to contact me on my talk page with any questions or if I can help in any way. Alansohn (talk) 14:48, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Apparent conflicts of interest[edit]

I can see that you are or admire a chemist named R Raines. Your edits are likely reflect a WP:COI and will be reverted. Most new editors come to Wikipedia to prop up the reputations of friends colleagues or themselves. One way to avoid this problem is to (i) describe possible COI on your user page and (ii) avoid citing yourself, your friends, or your colleagues. --Smokefoot (talk) 13:08, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
