Pure Reason Revolution

[edit]

Whats the problem with my edit? they are (or have been) signed to those labels. Ironholds (talk) 18:15, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thats ok. The use of backing tape during the performance; 2 things. Firstly, i was there, and i noticed they missed a lot of things out (violin bits during The Intention Craft, for example). Secondly, the songwriting on the first album was based around Jon Courtney. The two types of royalties are writing and performing; the ex-members werent there, so dont get performing, and didnt write it, so dont get writing; theres no need for them to get credit in the first place. They dont need to announce on stage that its someone elses work; RnB or Hip-hop groups are ALL samples; look at the Amen break in breakbeat music, for example. If they wrote it, they would've been paid performance royalties for the performance, and its not information worth including in the article. Ironholds (talk) 1:24, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
I only reverted the use of a forum link as a reference; the information itself is still on the page just BECAUSE i wanted to avoid edit wars. Fact: chloe alper smokes. is it on her page? no. because its not worth mentioning. "ooh, but i know an interview that mentions she smokes" doesnt change that fact. Jon courtney also didnt mention on stage if he'd had a dump beforehand, because its not relevant. If band members leave, and their written work is used on stage, they get paid writing money for the performance, not mentioned in a list of credits scrolling at the end. If you want i can put this through to the mediation cabal to sort.

Oh, and dont call me a smartarse. you dont need a "trained ear" to pick it up; heres a clue, if theres a violin track playing and no violin, its probably prerecorded! dont be a hypocrite. Ironholds (talk) 22:03, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
