First word: bure.[edit]

@Natalie.Desautels: Dear Natalie,

Welcome to the talk page of our brand new Québécois sandbox!

As promised, please find, in the sandbox itself, the initial structure of the page, along with our first word: bure.

Please feel free to use the present talk page to exchange further communications concerning any changes you'd like to propose for the structure or format of the sandbox page itself.

Otherwise, please just go ahead and update the section for bure as you see fit and when time permits; whenever convenient. If you prefer, please feel free to add any comments in the section entitled 'Natalie's comments'. Then, after reading these, I can apply changes to the previous sections for that word, until we're both satisfied that we've successfully interpreted and clarified the expression or word in question.

Thank you so much for your wonderful assistance and support, and please don't hesitate to tell me I got it completely wrong, since this is part of the whole process of discovery through clarification (a.k.a. blindingly illuminating revelation, even!)

(Please ignore the next section, for the word délester, until I've been able to update the details of that section also; thank you).

Thank you so much, dear Natalie!
With kind regards for now;
Patrick.

'Franglais' is in the news again[edit]

@Checkingfax and Corinne:

Hello Pdebee,

I trust you are well, and am sending you a nice 'top of the afternoon to you', along with a cup of tea. I thought this article on 'Franglais' might be of interest to you. Perhaps some useful information might be culled from it for the article on Quebec French (Québécois). warm regards, Natalie Natalie.Desautels (talk) 18:26, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Natalie.Desautels and Pdebee! In case you're interested, the linguistic term for this is Code switching. I've heard a lot of Spanish-English code switching.  – Corinne (talk) 01:39, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Checkingfax:
Hi Corinne, Many thanks for the very interesting information about Code switching. I can now deduce that I have apparently been 'switching' since I was born but never knew this term! I made a few little contributions to related articles, which I also found fascinating, such as Multilingualism. warm regards, Natalie
