Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on QT-Possie, by Oli Filth (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because QT-Possie seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting QT-Possie, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 19:38, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Some answers
[edit]You asked:
- How do you request that a page be created, do you email wikipedia or create it yourself then tell wikipedia?
- I've posted information at Wikipedia:Drawing board, in response to your posting there. If that isn't sufficient, please post further questions there (so other readers/editors are informed).
- How do i put pictures on articles?
- Basically, you upload a copyright-free picture to Wikipedia (or find one on the Commons), then add a link to the image (within the article). Here are some information pages that provide more details:
- Since i'm a member of wikipedia can i edit every page that i look up?
- You don't have to be a registered editor in order to edit Wikipedia articles - anyone can edit articles. As a registered editor, however, you can edit semi-protected pages that anonymous IP editors (non-registered) cannot. There are, however, a small number of pages (at any given time) that are fully protected against editing by even registered editors; typically these involve an ongoing edit war or a legal problem.
Finally, you may find this index to Wikipedia to be useful to find a page that answers your questions, or to find a page that specialize in answering a specific type of question. Or just drop me a note, as you did. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 12:26, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
