Welcome to Wikipedia, Peneid! I'm Royal Autumn Crest, and I've been assigned as your mentor. Around 10% of new Wikipedia accounts receive a mentor randomly taken from a list of volunteers. It just means I'm here to help with anything you need! We need to have all kinds of people working together to create an online encyclopedia, so I'm glad you're here. Over time, you will figure out what you enjoy doing the most on Wikipedia.

You might have noticed that you have access to a tutorial and suggested edits. It's recommended that you take advantage of this, as it'll make learning how to edit Wikipedia easier.

If you need assistance with anything or have any questions, click on the "Get editing help" button on the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open up a module with links to help pages and a place to ask me questions. You can also ask me questions directly on my talk page, or go here to get help from the wider community.

July 2023 edit warring[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Miss Teen USA 2023. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

I'm recommending that you self-revert this change. ☆ Bri (talk) 21:40, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite block[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for the persistent addition of unsourced content, edit warring to do so, all while failing to communicate. When someone says to you: Please state a reason for restoring unreferenced and otherwise problematic content, it is uncollegial to revert without any explanation, and your subsequent action is to revert without comment (blank edit summary), that is too subpar. Until you're able to account for this behaviour, you are deemed not compatible with a collaborative project and/or falling short of the required competence (i.e. you've not communicated with anyone since joining even once).
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  El_C 08:23, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
