Speedy deletion declined: David Drocco

[edit]

Hello Petiatil. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of David Drocco, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Playing for a notable team indicates importance/significance. Thank you. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 03:18, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Speedy deletion declined: David Drocco

Thank you for bringing that to my atttention, my mistake. However, as I recall the article didn't establish remarkability, perhaps more content was added after my nomination for CSD. Either way, my mistake. Thanks again, cheers. Petiatil (talk) 05:02, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

You have reverted an edit on the List of tautological place names as Reverted unexplained removal of content. In fact, the editor had provided a link to the German wikipedia, which explains that the name Ulrichsberg comes from the name of a man called Ulrich, a name which has no Slovene origin and whose meaning has nothing to do with peaks or mountains. So, if you don't mind, I am replacing that edition.--Gorpik (talk) 10:40, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine, I know those vandalizing edits are a pain and we all sometimes undo changes that should have been left there. Cheers.--Gorpik (talk) 12:53, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

2013 Naxal attack in Darbha valley

[edit]

Hi You have edited the article above to remove my inputs. Ajit Jogi was in fact lifted by an air ambulance after the rally, and was not part of the motorcade that was hit my the naxalites. I am not sure on how to provide references, but the following and many such links would prove my point. http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2013-05-30/india/39627881_1_sukma-maoists-dantewada — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.72.44.242 (talk) 04:54, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Memory improvement

[edit]

You reverted the edits I had made on the "Memory improvement" article, where I removed a couple of chunks of text.

I think my edits shouldn't have been reverted - I found those chunks to be questionable.

-In particular, the chunk in "Chronic stress" made a misleading example (claiming that the hippocampal shrinkage in taxi drivers was due to stress). The idea isn't supported in the cited medical sources (nor do other sources, clinical evidence, etc. support the idea from what I've seen). Furthermore, it was outright contradicted by the source that was supposed to support it. (If you need clarification, let me know.)

-The chunk in "Oxygen therapy" (idea that people's cognition are limited by their oxygen level) is found to be merely an Alternative Medicine claim and unsupported by evidence, according to the FDA (as I found in the Oxygen bar article). Thus I considered it to not warrant place in the article. 96.48.197.114 (talk) 06:29, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edition in Julius Richard Petri

[edit]

Hi Petiatil. You reverted the edit I had made on the "[Richard Petri]" article, where I removed a portrait. I'm afraid that it should be [Robert Koch](Who was Petri's Boss)'s portrait. This image may be originated from U.S. National Library of Medicine and we could see Koch's signature on the image clearly. Would you please check what I've said? Thank you.--Chqjed (talk) 07:11, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Petiatil. Thanks for your note on my talk page. Given the long history of Dr. Petri, and the import of his work and the petri dish, I think the random fact that Google chose to highlight him on his birthday is not really worth noting in an encyclopedia, which is more about the import of the scientist and his work. As an analogy, if this were the page on Sigmund Freud, or Charles Darwin, or any other scientist, and Google took a day to make note of these people, would that really be put on their wiki pages? Seems rather trivial and not suited to a real encyclopaedia. Gacggt (talk) 20:36, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking

[edit]

Just a tip. If someone's blanked an article, look at the history. If they're the creator of it, and no-one else has done more than maintenance or copyed, tag it G7 (author request to delete). If not sure about other edits, either tag it or ask an admin. If an IP has blanked it, revert and message them to do it signed in. If someone else has blanked it, consider if it's vandalism... Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity

[edit]

Hello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

False Accusations - I didn't do that .

[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Robert E. Pattison. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. -petiatil »user»speak 20:09, 7 February 2010 (UTC) I never even touched that person's page. Because it was impossible as I didn't have a internet connection and I was cooking Sausage while trying to watch the Super Bowl. I have proof that I was watching the Super Bowl and not vandalizing Robert E. Pattison Wiki page.
