Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Peter G. Peterson Foundation. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. —C.Fred (talk) 14:48, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for copyright infringement in mutliple articles. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. —C.Fred (talk) 17:47, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am not sure why I have been blocked. I have edited the wiki entries for the Peter G. Peterson Foundation and David M. Walker who is President of the Peter G. Peterson foundation. I am an employee of the foundation and was instructed to edit the pages which were out of date. I have the right to use any information and images from the foundation. I have the permission from the CEO himself who approved all edits. Please clarify the reason for my being blocked so that it doesn't happen again. thank you

Decline reason:

Ah. In that case, you need to familiarize yourself with out Business FAQ, and you'll understand why people are discouraged from editing articles about themselves or their employers. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 15:31, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

.

  • Additionally, that "right to use any information and images" doesn't need to be just for you to use the text and images. The Foundation would have to license the images and text to be used by anyone in any way possible for it to be included here. Make sure the CEO knows the scope of the license before he places the text under GFDL or into the public domain. —C.Fred (talk) 17:07, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
