Information icon Hello, Pirolam. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Bandy X. Lee, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. I noticed that all of your edits have been to the above-referenced page over the past few months. Please be aware that there are special WP policies that go into effect if you are editing the page of a person who happens to be a real-life friend or acquaintance/colleague, family member, (or of yourself), etc.

POV Editing

[edit]

When you add information to an article, you need to ensure that 1) you are using a reliable source, and that 2) you are mentioning what the source actually said. Your latest edits to Bandy X. Lee where you used a 404-error link to an article mentioning an informal poll at a public event to source the statement that "a majority of pschyologists disagree with the Goldwater rule" completely disregards this basic standard on WP. Please honor these policies. Wikieditor19920 (talk) 00:49, 30 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back... to POV Editing

[edit]

At the risk of sounding like a broken record... When you add information to an article, you need to ensure that you are mentioning what the source actually said. I reversed your edit here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Goldwater_rule&diff=prev&oldid=957648181 as disregarding this basic standard, which remains unaltered since your last such warning, in January. Please honor these policies. Lindenfall (talk) 21:38, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest

[edit]

Do you have any personal connection to Bandy X. Lee? If so, you need to disclose it. Red Slapper (talk) 02:29, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I do not have a personal connection but am in the same field. There is a lot of misinformation around her firing (such as that she was fired for speaking up about Trump, which she wasn't), and it is a bit tiring to try to set things straight everywhere. You seem to be exceptionally invested in this page. What is your connection? Pirolam (talk) 18:54, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have no connection to her. You need to edit according to what sources say, not according to what you think is incorrect. Red Slapper (talk) 21:36, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have kept Trump, but Dershowitz needs to be in there. She spoke up about Trump for three years without consequences. Pirolam (talk) 11:41, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
