NR

Hello,

I'm writing a paper about Wikipedia revisions, and I'm looking at the 2009 Northwestern Wildcats football team article. I noticed on your revision of September 3 at 4:12, the initials NR were written in red beside some of the coding changes. Could you tell me what that means? It looks to me like no changes were actually made at that time, because the code looks exactly the same.

RV[edit]

Hello again.

Someone explained to me that NR means Not Ranked. Would you mind telling me what RV means? I don't know much about sports, so it's a difficult for me to understand the 2009 Northwestern Wildcats football team article. Editor Lara (talk) 00:48, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RV means Receiving Votes. While the team did not earn enough votes to be ranked in the Top 25 of the particular poll, certain pollsters did vote for the team.

Zak Kustok[edit]

Based on your involvement in Northwestern football articles, I thought you might want to expand Zak Kustok.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:11, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
