Gorilla Manor (band)
[edit]Gorilla Manor consists of: Andrew White, the one who plays the guitar and is also the one who sings songs, and Felix Key, the one who hits drums with sticks. They met rather oddly. They were in Chattanooga, TN at a baseball game, where they first saw each other and began to "chat it up". As the conversation went on, the two realized they live about 100-150 rather large steps away from one another.
When they arrived back into their homeland of Jackson, TN, Andrew "chilled" at Felix's house for a little bit. Well, time went on and long story short the guys became best buds. Andrew had some musical talent prior to the finding of his new "homie", but Felix did not. Andrew had always wanted to be in a band and Felix was happy to tag along, so they began to make noise together.
Andrew found an electric guitar with two broken strings on it laying around his house and began to make noise with it. Felix went to a pawn shop and purchased a bass guitar and began to make noise with it. Just the two of them started a band that was really, really... bad.
Soon after, Felix decided maybe the whole bass guitar thing wasn't for him. He then, became obsessed with drums and got his first drum set for Christmas. The two began to jam more and more, and they fell more and more in love with music.
The two were basically brothers by now, and they wanted to start new. Another band was formed, but no music was really ever made, just a ton of projects. Those projects began to form more and more, so Andrew and Felix decided to start a legitimate band.
After a lot of hard work and troubles, the two finally had some original songs finished. They were still very indecisive on a band name, but the term Gorilla Manor popped up in conversation talking about how Felix's house, where we hung out and jammed, was a lot like a bunch of monkeys living together. Gorilla Manor hopes to get there name out into the public as a young teen band with talent.
