Shakesbeare
[edit]Your article at Shakesbeare, along with those at at Chet Shakesbeare and "chet shakesbeare", has been nominated for deletion as a hoax / non-notable web phenomenon (see WP:WEB for general guidelines there). — Lomn | Talk / RfC 00:51, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
Chet
[edit]Potatoes345 wrote: Why do you oppose Chet Shakesbeare? The articles are useful, encyclopedic and refer the user to several very humorous sites. Potatoes345 19:51, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
I believe the articles on Chet Shakesbeare are not encyclopedic, because it's related to a non-notable website; there are billions of web sites on the internet, but only some of them are notable enough for an encyclopedia article. The usefulness is questionable, and wikipedia is not a link repository, or a web directory.. links to humor sites is not a particularly encyclopedic quality which could merit keeping an article.. --Mysidia (talk) 21:44, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
Re: Why a hater?
[edit]The above sums it up quite nicely. A consensus to delete is very quickly emerging so I'm taking the initiative to remove references from other articles that you've inserted. — Lomn | Talk / RfC 23:17, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
Please stop re-inserting your material in William Shakespeare
[edit]Please desist from reinserting the shakesbeare text and link in William Shakespeare. There are 16 million Shakespeare sites out there, and only a tiny selection of the best and most relevant ones should go in that external links section, otherwise it becomes useless. Bishonen | talk 02:09, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
As per the above. If the Shakesbeare content survives AfD (the process ends in about 3 days), then I'll withdraw my objections to its insertion elsewhere. Until then, I request that you respect the emerging consensus. — Lomn | Talk / RfC 04:48, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
