Gulag[edit]

Thank you for your interest in improving the Gulag article. However when doing so, please don't insert verbatim translations from the cited references. This is bad scholar practice, making an appearance that this is your text. When doing so you have to put the verbatim translated text in quotations and give direct attribution: 'according to Zemskov, "<zemsokov's words>" '. However you do this when you need to stress that it is Zemskov's opinion. Normally you must summarize and rephrase wha Zemskov (or any other author) wrote. -No.Altenmann >t 16:53, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
