Your username

[edit]

Hello, R._Swipe, and thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! Wikipedia has a policy on what usernames editors can use. Unfortunately, concerns have been raised that your username may be incompatible with that policy. You can contribute to the discussion about it here. Alternatively, if you agree that your username may be problematic and are willing to change it, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name. Simply request a new name here following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. Snappy (talk) 06:03, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I have closed the request for comment on your username as no action taken. This is because there was no prior discussion with you, as required by the instructions there. If the request for comment had been allowed to continue, consensus would probably have been to allow your username. You do not need to change your username. I can certainly understand being hurt by the accusation, and am sorry it occurred. I hope you aren't too upset by this incident, and continue to help us build Wikipedia with your helpful contributions. Thank you! -kotra (talk) 20:08, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kotra, thank you for the most gracious way in which you dealt with this distressing matter. You have revived my faith in Wikipedia. Snappy was being very unkind to me and was very offensive to you. I would be grateful if you would impose the appropriate punishment or at least issue a further warning. Thank you again. Regards, R. Swipe (talk) 12:49, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Mr. Swipe, you might fool gullible Americans but I know you probably are a sockpuppet of Artist in Residence / Cess Poole / Fr. Slat O Bodach / Bell V Bell variety. I wonder what chekuser might reveal. Yours Mr. R. Shole aka Snappy (talk) 04:35, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Snappy, you really are not being very nice to me. Not alone have you hurt my feelings but you have also been needlessly insulting to a number of other editors, referring to them as "gullible Americans". I was also offended by the link between "Mr. R. Shole" and your user page. I may be quite innocent and unworldly, but I presume that you intended to link the word "arsehole" with your page. Although perhaps appropriate from one perspective, this is surely "crude" and "offensive" behaviour. With regret, I feel that I must complain about your behaviour which could deter other editors if left un-checked. R. Swipe (talk) 12:36, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I feel no need to indulge your antics any longer, its checkuser time for you, me laddo! Snappy (talk) 04:35, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You are probably Jack Srole as well. Toilet humour indeed. Snappy (talk) 04:41, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sock puppet

[edit]
This account has been blocked indefinitely because it is suspected to be a sock puppet that was created to violate Wikipedia policy. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not.

If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. MuZemike 03:05, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
