Hello RVU nick. You have a financial stake in promoting a topic and are required to comply with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

You are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:RVU nick. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=RVU nick|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. ElKevbo (talk) 21:46, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct in that I am an employee of RVU. I have gone ahead and added the necessary template to my user page as suggested. These were all necessary and significantly overdue changes to the Wikipedia page that should have been made years ago. There was an alarming amount of incorrect information about RVU such as location, branding, and program information. It is alarming that editors on Wikipedia have allowed this misinformation to be presented for such a long period of time, especially since Wikipedia information is displayed on Google Business information. This misinformation is not only detrimental to RVU but highly detrimental to current and prospective students. In the future I would recommend a less condescending tone when discussing matters with others you do not know. This is especially true when you lack proper context as to why the edits were made and why they were necessary edits. RVU nick (talk) 17:56, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
