Forgotten Realms warnings
[edit]I checked to try and see where the decision was made to add these warnings, but could not find it. While they might be standard on Forgotten Realms articles, adding such warnings is not common practice on Wikipedia, and I have not seen similar ones on any of the other hundreds of fictional universes we cover. Wikipedia guielines have long been quite clear that the warning that an article is on a fictional topic should be integrated into the prose, and this is the consensus view on the Wikipedia talk:Check your fiction|talk page. Wikipedia:Fiction and WikiProject Fictional series have both long worked under these guidelines. - SimonP 19:32, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
Forgotten Realms template
[edit]Hello,
Thanks for all,
- For Fallen Kingdom(s), you mayvery well be right, I have almost no information except a rapid reading of Lost Empires of Faerûn and the page about Lost Kingdoms and Crown Wars.
For the template, I'm stuck, I can't find the way we are supposed to enter variables (like the name of the capitals). Please answer on the talk page of the index. Reply to David Latapie 12:44, 16 September 2005 (UTC)
- You should also add yourself as a participant. Could you also support me with this proto-edit war? Reply to David Latapie 13:58, 16 September 2005 (UTC)
Forgotten Realms infobox
[edit]Hi,
I have a problem with the infobox. I think this is a problem of rows and clomns but can't say for sure. Check the discussion (and reply there, please so that newer particpants can help). Thank you Reply to David Latapie
FR Template Box
[edit]Hi,
It also took me quite a time to find it.
- The textbox is a template. That is, every thing that is entered here will be duplicated everywhere
- Variables must be added in the core of the article
A picture is worth a thousand words:
Text box
! Name the must appear as the section name | {{{name that identify the value}}} |- ! Section | {{{some_name}}} |- ! Capital | {{{capital}}} |- ! Ruler | {{{ruler}}} |-
Article
{{Infobox Forgotten Realms Countries | name that identify the value = value some_name = bla country = Cormyr | image = [[Image:Cormyr.jpg|thumb|Map of Cormyr]] | capital = Suzail | ruler = Azoun Ⅴ (infant) | }}
I will revert changes on the infobox. You will then just have to compare difference to have a confirmation of how it works.
Please tell me whether or not it helped you. If you understood with this explanation, I plan to put it on the FR Wikiproject page. Reply to David Latapie, 00:59, 25 October 2005 (UTC)
