[edit]Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, as you did at Aneesa Sharif. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have an undisclosed financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=your reason here ~~~~}}
at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:
- Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
- State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
- Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future. — Newslinger talk 17:07, 20 July 2020 (UTC)

Appealing my block regarding undisclosed payment allegations
[edit]Randomdragonpakistan (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Hello, Hope this message receives you well. I have been blocked by the account User:Newslinger based the allegations made by a Wikipedia user User:Saqib for receiving undisclosed payments on Wikipedia for my articles as they are written in a promotional manner. I have never received any payments for the pages I have made at Wikipedia. I have been on Wikipedia for as long as I can remember and I'm aware that it is unethical not to disclose that you are receiving payments however in my case, I never have been compensated nor have I any direct or even indirect link with the pages of those whom pages I have created. If you take a look at the pages I have created most of them are either related to Pakistan or television shows, films, music and celebrities. One of the allegations made was that I was selling my services on Fiverr. I don't have a Fiverr account that is active nor have I ever sold my services being a Wikipedia page creator. It has affected all my pages and I'm really disappointed with all the work I put through. You can take a look at my pages. I'll give an example here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Abeer_Rizvi_(model)&action=history. If you take a look at this page's edit history, you will notice that there is a edit history made by User:CR Guru PK. The edit summary reads something along the lines of that some derogatory remarks that might hurt the person have been removed. Let me clarify that I don't know nor have anything to do with User:CR Guru PK. The remarks were not derogatory, it simply stated a fact that the film Raasta that Abeer Rizvi acted in was a box office failure and received negative reviews. If I was paid for this, why would I write this so clearly? Since Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia that anyone can edit with or without an IP address, I cannot be held responsible that if someone else even if it is the person or the entity on whom the page is made wants to edit it in a promotional style themselves. Similarly here is another article's edit history https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ajab_Tamasha&action=history. I'm just sharing this to show that I created this page. It also does clarify two things that both subjects are related to Pakistan and its entertainment industry. Secondly, this section https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajab_Tamasha#Critical_reception states that this song received a mixed to negative reaction. If I'm being paid why would I write this. As for some other articles that might not have something negative, they don't have any such reason as of yet however if a controversy or anything arises people can write and edit it on Wikipedia, the other articles have been written from a neutral stance as well. Honestly, I really wish I was paid based on the false allegations because if I was, I would not have to go through all this trouble but I'm just upset because of how hard I have worked for Wikipedia. It also says here as per the user who reported that I received a COI talkpage notice last year however what actually occurred was that I had not made Wikipedia pages for a while so the editor advised me how Wikipedia articles are to be created. Although I admit, I was frustrated at first; I followed the guidelines and made the article as neutral as I could with their assistance. I would have responded immediately to the administrator who reported me regarding this and we could have sort this out but I’m a busy person and this has come to my attention just now. While I completely understand that the user who reported me and the administrator who blocked me have done this in good faith and mistakes do certainly happen, I do respect them especially the user for his contributions to Pakistani pages on Wikipedia as I do similarly. I'm just upset, that is all. In the near future, I will be more careful on how I create Wikipedia articles and if I ever get paid in the future (which I have not so far), I will definitely disclose it. I really hope that all my pages are reverted to main pages and I value all the editors and users to contribute to those pages to make it neutral even further. Best Regards, Random Dragon Pakistan Randomdragonpakistan (talk) 20:40, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I've looked at this case fairly thoroughly, and could easily write quite a long essay about it, but I'll restrict myself to the following remarks. It is pretty obvious that you have been doing undisclosed paid editing, but even if we were generous enough to ignore that, there would be no case for unblocking, for more than one reason. You have for a long time been doing unambiguously promotional editing, which should long ago have led to your being blocked, whether it was paid for or not. You have also persistently violated Wikipedia's copyright policy, and on at least some, maybe all, of those occasions also copyright law, continuing to do so despite numerous warnings about the problem over the course of almost 9 years. Again, that should have led to an indefinite block years ago. I am also not at all sure why you choose to lie about things that you could easily be honest about if you chose. You would not be blocked for undisclosed paid editing if you had simply disclosed your paid editing. As for your ridiculous story about how the self-promotional vanity article you created about yourself was not about yourself, what on earth did you think you could gain by that? All you had to do was admit that you had done it, and undertake not to do the same again. As it is, finding yourself in a hole you chose to dig deeper into it, and in addition to the other reasons for keeping you blocked there is the fact that in view of your history of blatant and transparent lies we are now likely to be distrustful of anything you say in future, making an unblock even less likely. Oh, yes, I almost forgot: then there's the sockpuppetry. JBW (talk) 14:57, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- To the reviewing administrator: I am able to provide off-wiki evidence of undisclosed paid editing via email. — Newslinger talk 00:09, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
- To whoever has harassed because it has been done from here. Look, You want to delete this account, go ahead. Do it right now as you please. I don't care. I didn't receive any money and I will stand by it. You can block it for all I care. An Instagram account literally just harassed a friend of mine based on my username. I even have screenshots. First of all let me make it clear to you without outing myself that I'm from Pakistan which is absolutely obvious from my username. If you think I got paid for anything, why don't you go ahead and message these companies and associations directly? If you took out to the time to harass a person I know in real, why don't you target them as well. Delete this account. I'm not a content writer nor a writer at all, I'm a teacher in real life. For the person who went so far as to harass my friend just because they have the same name as mine, why don't you go into the edit history and check which city have I edited it to? It has been so far ten years. Now my name might be a surprise for people from the Punjab or Sindh region and is pretty common in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. I'm from Tank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the person (whoever they are) harassed someone who lives in Lahore. I live in Multan. Go into the edit history and go ahead and check. It has been like that for ten years. I mean its my fault that people named John, James, Usmans have the same interests and they can't be friends? The autobiography which one person was talking about was not about me, it was about him. He asked me to make one for him and I told him it will get rejected because he is not notable enough yet and that is the reason I changed my name because the Wikipedia algorithm suspects that you are creating a page about yourself and I don't have a middle name by the way, he does. He didn't pay me because journalists get paid shit in Pakistan, alright you can literally google the Paisa Phenk movement of which that person is a supporter because he is a content writer. I'm not a content writer or writer of any sort, I'm just a teacher. You really think companies pay in Pakistan? Bro even Pepsi or Coke don't pay you, they just promote you. Learn what the exposure concept is in Pakistan for freelancers which they all complain about so stop with your high horses that I even got paid for Wikipedia because newsflash I didn't and I honestly fucking wish I did but even if I did they pay shit like all the jobs here. I'm a private person in real life, that person is not. I hardly have any social media or online presence. He loves to have an online presence everywhere because he wants to be famous that is why he asked for the Wikipedia page. I did but it got deleted and I never made it again. Fine, there you go penalize me for having a close association to the subject but penalize yourselves to for literally harassing someone who has nothing to do with the situation and even if he did, are you seriously going to go that far by cyberbullying someone. I repeat if anyone is Pakistani, tell me the condition of freelancers or content writers in Pakistan. They get paid peanuts. How much do you think I even charged for Wikipedia? Even if I was promised any payment, I was never going to receive it anyway. The only thing that person is guilty of or is being made so is just because he has the same name and oh btw why don't you take a look at the fucking fiverr account which you were talking about? I checked it too. Where the hell does it say that the person is charging for Wikipedia pages. You think even if I was, that I'm a dumbfuck to leave traces like that because I have been on Wikipedia for ten fucking years? I have tried to be nothing but civil here but if you are going to harass people, then fuck you. Delete this account right now. My friends are way more important than some stupid Wikipedia account which by the way I was just looking for to kill time and nothing else. I do not take harassment lightly so kindly restrict all this discussion to Wikipedia rather than attacking people I know in real life -User:Randomdragonpakistan

Autobiography
[edit]May I ask why you recently created an article about yourself? --Saqib (talk) 05:37, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Saqib, what autobiography ? Can you please tell me? --User:Randomdragonpakistan
- Article about yourself. Don't tell me you didn't created any. --Saqib (talk) 14:20, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Saqib, making Wikipedia pages about yourself is highly discouraged, why would I create one? Moreover, I'm not even a notable person so a page on myself is likely to get deleted anyway then I would really like to know what exactly are you talking about? I'm a boring person with a boring life and I don't hve any contributions even if non-notable or irrelevant. I can easily admit that I made one and just go on about my day and receive whatever penalty whatever Wikipedia has on such a thing and promise not to do it again, but I really want to know what exactly are you talking about?--User:Randomdragonpakistan
Saqib you seem to be throwing all of these accusations around (first about the Fiverr acount (which I didn't find) and now him creating an article on himself),- You either need to provide diffs of the article thing or to be blunt say nothing at all,
- Due to OUTING you obviously cannot prove the Fiverr thing however you can prove the article bit with diffs.
FWIW I'm not really seeing anything here that screams "paid editor" .... just someone who's creating Indian related articles? –Davey2010Talk 16:35, 21 July 2020 (UTC)- Relax @Davey2010:, you think an admin would block this user without any evidence? I'm not throwing around accusations. This user did created an article about himself and the admin (@Newslinger:) who blocked this account can also check whether my claims are correct or not. I thought this user would admit that he did created a BLP about himself however he's still acting in bad faith. --Saqib (talk) 16:59, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
To be fair admins make mistakes, From an outsider pov I'm simply seeing accusations flying around but ofcourse there may be more to this than meets the eye which if there is then my apologies, –Davey2010Talk 17:05, 21 July 2020 (UTC)- Striking as would rather not be involved. –Davey2010Talk 17:40, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

Saqib, If I did create a page about myself I would just admit it. What possible reason would I have to lie about it? Again, I repeat it is not the end of the world. I can just move on and admit it that yes I did make a page about myself? I have more important things to do in life anyway but the reality is I didn't create a page about myself because again I repeat I'm not a notable person or any person of significance so what exactly would I write anyway about myself that would be noteworthy? Look I understand it is your job as an administrator to keep tabs and I value your contributions to Pakistan articles on Wikipedia but please understand that I'm also trying to defend myself here because what you are saying isn't true and it might be a misunderstanding. Why would I go through all the trouble of appealing my block by writing a lengthy note when I can just easily admit it or even responding here and move on? But I haven't done it. I'm only responding to all of this because I have been on Wikipedia for the past ten years that is why. Lastly, Thank you Davey2010 but I also understand that Saqib is also doing his job as an administrator -User:Randomdragonpakistan
- Mate, since you're not admitting that you created a BLP on yourself, I'm still against your unblock. And for what it matters, I am not an admin here. --Saqib (talk) 17:38, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- Maybe you can declare your socks, at-least or should I expect NO? --Saqib (talk) 17:40, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- Saqib, You can be against my unblock if you want. I'm sure you have your reasons or there might be something you have noticed so I'm not blaming you. You are just doing your job. However, I'll do my best to fight against it to prove that I don't deserve to be blocked. I'm sorry I didn't know you weren't an admin, my mistake. I will keep on denying it as I said, if I had created it, I would just easily admit it? As I said in one of my previous messages, why would someone who has been working on Wikipedia for 10 years create a page about themselves? I mean isn't that like one of the most basic rules. It isn't that hard to admit to something you did on Wikipedia. I'm sure the administrators can easily see too. I repeat that it is best for me to admit and move on and get this sorted but I won't accept something I didn't do. -User:Randomdragonpakistan
- As for the socks thing, yes I admit to it but that was last year. I was called out on it, I immediately apologized and I was given a warning for it and I never did it again but it was making me changes via my IP address for which I was rightfully warned. See, I admitted to it? Because it was something I did because it is better to admit to something you did do I did but I haven't created a page about myself or have received any payments. These two allegations are however false. I will go as far to say that even if you want to penalize me for that socks thing, you can even do it now. I will gladly accept the decision because at least it was something I did for which I deserved to be blocked although that thing happened once, but still if you feel its right, then, by all means, do so -User:Randomdragonpakistan
- Look, I've evidence that you created a BLP about yourself. Lets be honest and admit it, and I've no issue with your unblock. Thanks for your patience. --Saqib (talk) 18:16, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- Saqib As I already mentioned I admitted to the socks thing which is absolutely true. I don't deny that but I haven't made a page about myself. As you said, I can just easily admit it and be honest but I haven't done it. Even if I'm to be blocked, it should be at least for something I did do. At this point, I'm not even against my own block for what it matters but I'm against being blocked for something that I have not done. That is what I'm trying to tell you. Thank you for having no issues, hopefully this matter gets sorted.-User:Randomdragonpakistan

Ganda (music producer) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Ganda (music producer), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
