Creating This Page
[edit]The Freeline skates article is in dire need of repair. I'm going to try and fix it.
I asked about some best-practice guidelines for updating the article in the Teahouse. I got some good answers. The general consensus was that I should re-write the Freeskate article here in my sandbox. If I were to use content from Th0rgall's draft, I should credit it in the edit summary. I doubt that I'll use his draft directly, but I'll probably pull pieces from it.
I was told that once my re-write is done, and once I've got a new page to move the content to picked out, I should announce my intention to replace the content and move the page on Talk:Freeline skates, wait two weeks, and, if there are no objections, move the page and update the content.
Sources
[edit]In my teahouse feedback, I was encouraged to only release the article once I had reliable sources. I'll need to work to collect content like that.
Th0rgall shared the following sources:
- A radio interview with Ryan Farelley
- This page describing the bankruptcy of Freeline Sports Inc.
The original page cites the following sources:
- This page in Japanese
- https://www.gtank.com.tw/
- This blog post about freeskating
As I mentioned in User_talk:Th0rgall/sandbox/Freeskates, the YouTube interview references a newspaper article. It sounds like the San-Diego Union Tribune did a piece on Ryan Farelley. If we could track down that newspaper article, that might be a really good source.
