The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Hello @Diannaa:,
I've a question.
I don't understand why you credit a fandom when this site has translated the pages fr:Europe 2 TV#Histoire de la chaîne and fr:Virgin 17#Histoire de la chaîne of French Wikipedia (without indicating it).
I'm not a copyright specialist, i just find it odd.
Thank you --Rayquachu (talk) 17:39, 27 December 2020 (UTC) (French user, sorry for the broken english)[reply]
The material is very similar to the page at Fandom, as you can see by reviewing this comparison. I checked the French Wikipedia page fr:Virgin 17, and the resemblance is nowhere near the same level. You should have mentioned in your edit summary where you got the content from. In fact this is required by the terms of our license (the templates on the talk page are optional).— Diannaa (talk) 17:50, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explanation. I had looked for if there was an equivalent of the french template fr:Modèle:Traduction/Référence via Wikidata without finding it. Sorry for the inconvenience, I will know next time, mentioned in edit summary.
Good night --Rayquachu (talk) 18:23, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
