Yep, adding your username to the list is about all it takes to actually join a WikiProject. All joining a WikiProject means is that you're interested in whatever it is the project deals with and that you're willing to help out with those articles from time to time. From looking at your username and userpage, it appears that you're interested in Pokémon, so WikiProject Pokémon might be a good pick for you. If you would like to join the Pokémon project, just add your username alphabetically to the Active list using the {{User|RayquazaDialgaWeird2210}} template. Most WikiProjects also have a neat little infobox like this one that you can add to your userpage to let others know you're a part of the project. When you join a WikiProject it might also be a good idea to introduce yourself to the other members on the project's talk page so that they can get to know you a bit, and you might even want to add the talkpage to your watchlist so you can keep an eye on what other project members are working with at the moment.
