Groklaw
[edit]Thanks for your vigilance on the question of properly sourcing statements made about living people in the Groklaw article. It would indeed be damaging to a professional journalist's reputation if false rumors said that he or she was being paid by the company that his or her articles always support.
However, as you will see if you finish reading that paragraph, the statement that Maureen O'Gara's media company is being paid by SCO is already amply sourced. That a tiny "media services" corporation, owned and controlled O'Gara herself, is a paid contractor for SCO is already well-known, and irrefutably proven by bankruptcy court documents. - That a media company owned by someone is a creditor is not an indication that the person themselves is a contractor. Nor what those services provided were. The line asking for a citation also needs one that does not involve original research What you have is a fact but nothing that clearly states the conclusion.
